Terms of Service
Last updated: July 3, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Project Huck LLC (“Project Huck,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Project Huck mobile app and projecthuck.com (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your location) to use the Service.
- You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and all activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
2. The Service
Project Huck is a board-sports progression app for wakeboarding, surfing, kiteboarding, and winging. Features include trick tracking and a “Bag of Tricks,” the Tricktionary, the Smart Session Planner, riding Conditions, and a community of clips and Crews. Some features require a Huck+ subscription. We may add, change, or remove features.
3. Huck+ Subscriptions
- Huck+ is an auto-renewing subscription offered at $6.99/month or $49.99/year (prices may vary by region and may change with notice). The annual plan includes a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. The monthly plan does not include a free trial.
- Billing is handled by Apple through your App Store account. Payment is charged on confirmation of purchase and, for the annual trial, at the end of the free-trial period unless you cancel.
- Auto-renewal: your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we generally cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
4. Your Content & License to Us
- You own the content you create and post (video clips, captions, comments, tips, and other materials — “User Content”).
- License you grant. By posting User Content, you grant Project Huck a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, publicly display, publicly perform, and distribute your User Content: (a) to operate and provide the Service, and (b) to promote, market, and advertise the Service and Project Huck, including in advertising and promotional materials and across other Project Huck platforms, applications, sites, and marketing channels. This license continues for content you have posted even if you later stop using the Service, except that it ends within a reasonable time after you delete the specific content or your account, other than (i) content others have shared or saved, and (ii) copies retained for backup, legal, or record-keeping purposes.
- Your responsibilities. You represent that you own or have the rights to your User Content and that it does not infringe others’ rights or violate law or these Terms.
- Removal. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our community standards.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- post content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, or that depicts or encourages dangerous behavior toward others;
- impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation;
- upload malware, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service;
- use the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes or to violate others’ privacy or IP.
6. Safety Disclaimer (Important)
Board sports are inherently dangerous. Project Huck provides information, planning tools, trick descriptions, and conditions data for general informational purposes only. It is not instruction, coaching, or a safety or weather guarantee, and it is not a substitute for proper training, qualified supervision, appropriate equipment, and your own judgment. Conditions data may be inaccurate or delayed and must not be relied on for safety decisions. You assume all risks of participating in these activities. Always ride within your ability, follow local rules, and use proper safety equipment.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the app, website, Project Huck name and logos, the Tricktionary, trick trees and data, graphics, and software, is owned by Project Huck LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works except as expressly permitted.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Project Huck is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any personal injury, loss, or damages arising from your use of the Service or participation in any activity. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or $50.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms or to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which Project Huck LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date and, where appropriate, in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
